First I would like to note that I came here for breakfast with my family, I did not stay as a guest in this inn. The service tried to be good but failed on just about every front. The wait staff seemed to mean well but they lacked experience and attention to detail. We had to wait 10+ minutes after having our coffee poured before they could bring over the cream/milk. Our waiter did not have much knowledge of the menu and kept providing a trickle of caveats regarding the items as they seemingly came to his mind (for example, the waffles were apparently pancakes that day and it wasn't until my mother had already ordered them did he make this known). Several side dishes were chosen but did not come because the waiter had forgotten to write them down. The food was decent but certainly not worth the excessive wait and general inconvenience of the entire situation. Bar Harbor has myriad excellent breakfast options so this place needs to step it up if it wants to survive.

My family stayed here again last week and it was excellent, if not better than the last time we stayed two years ago. The owners are incredibly welcoming and hospitable. Our rooms were very well appointed and CLEAN. Breakfast was scrumptious and healthy. The owner even made a variation of a couple of breakfasts to appeal to our son's palate which she did not have to do, but was appreciated. The location cannot be beat. Not only is there ample off-street parking but it is in the heart of Bar Harbor where everything you could possibly want is in walking distance. We did have dinner at Michelle's and the chef is amazing! Another hidden gem for this inn. If you are going to Bar Harbor and want an excellent lodging experience in the heart of the action, this is the place to stay!

My aunt and just finished our stay and we can't stop talking about how great it was. We spontaneously decided to stay in bar harbor after our hike in Cutler, ME. Given it was off-season, we thought to walk around and see what we could find. Instantly, we were drawn to the Ivy Manor Inn. We walked in and were warmly greeted by laid-back owners John and Christine and knew we had to stay. Everything from our quaint room with working fireplace to our casual and wonderful conversation with John in the cozy ivy manor lounge was just perfect. The location is even more ideal being just steps from Blaze, an amazing restaurant with an awesome craft beer selection and a short walk to anything town. We loved our stay and can't wait to return!

We can here on the Maine foodie tour. The stop here was for blueberry scones they came out warm and soft and delish, with a small side of lemon curd which added a nice tart bite. The owner was very nice and showed us around and gave us a bit of history about the place which was very cool. They will be opened year round starting this year so if ur looking for a winter or summer get away they are your guys :)

I stayed here with my boyfriend during a friend's wedding this past summer, and we had a wonderful time! The room was spacious but comfortable, the exterior of the building was charming, the family that owns the B&B were incredible hosts. We had made reservations last minute and ended up quite happy that we stayed there. Our room was on the top floor and we had an exit right out to the back porch, a fireplace, some sitting area, and a nice, clean bathroom with a clawfoot tub and shower. The thing that made me give this place five stars is that on the way out we had slept in past when breakfast was scheduled, but as we were checking out the woman who owns the place offered to make us some fresh rhubarb and strawberry french toast since we'd missed breakfast. We finished loading the car and she brought us a to go box (and plasticware) of the most delicious french toast I've ever had since we'd mentioned we had to hit the road fairly quickly! I would recommend this to anyone traveling to Bar Harbor in the future.
